Clustered Patient Record Sharing (CPRS)

The purpose of the Clustered Patient Record Sharing (CPRS) is to allow sharing of patient records across hospitals and institutions with the hospital. In doing so, allowing greater transparency of patient's background, and facilitating better clinical decisions on ground. Act as a platform from, which a clustered-wide EMR (electronic medical records) can be developed. The project also involves the conversion of data from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle.

Development of Surveillance System

The purpose of the Surveillance System is to aid in the early detection of SARS (Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome) and other airborne/close contact nosocomial infections within NHG (National Healthcare Group). In order to meet the objectives, the system was designed to have 3 modules: Staff Surveillance, Inpatient Surveillance and Reports. The Staff Surveillance module captures staff's MC (medical certification). The Inpatient Surveillance module captures inpatients' onset of syndromes (e.g. pneumonia), which are of interest for a given period .Reports will provide a summary information of the Staff Surveillance and Inpatient Surveillance basing on report criteria.
